Independent Film & AI Experiments

Experimental feminist short films, live late night multicamera, AI-powered YouTube channel generating 1K monthly watch hours from 1 hour of work and more.

This is where I run my experiments.

It's A Sign (2021)

In this corporate comedy, a relentless fledgling administrator struggles to wrap up her big project despite colleagues who don't understand boundaries. Read the iconic festival submission cover letter, "Tricia's Notice of Departure" here.

I filmed this short in 2018 and finished it during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Time Traveling Bedmakers (2019)

Sci-fi is my favorite fi, so when a sketch comedy group from The Second City reached out to me about directing this short genre film, I jumped in their time machine! This project required me to create the effect of multiple timelines and genres on an extremely limited budget. I think it turned out cool!

Where We Were: The Wiggle Time Live Incident (2022)

No one could have known the impact that Trixie and her spaceship would have on millions of people around the world. But how and why did it happen? And where were you?

“Where We Were: The Wiggle Time Live Incident” is a mockumentary film probing the traumatized fans of a live children’s show about the notorious episode that went awry, changing their perceptions of the world forever.

L8-Bit Show (2022)

Late night meets nerd culture. I directed the pilot and first three episodes of this multicamera show filmed in front of a live studio audience in Chicago!

RideShare (2016)

RideShare follow the stories of one driver and the eclectic passengers with whom he shares the ride. Created by real-life driver Jeff Irlbeck and  frequent ride sharing passenger Katie Hunter, each episode is completely improvised. With the help of writer Ian Michael Smith, the character and stories were conceived and distributed to the talented cast of actors who portray them. From funny to disturbing, each of RideShare’s episodes reveals what happens when people choose to share.

The Ambient Edit (2026)

As generative AI tools came on the market, I was among the first to experiment with testing generative AI footage and workflows against traditional video production. I created this channel to share my results: beautiful looping videos that turn your screens into little windows into other worlds. I'm currently generating 1K monthly watch hours from about 1 hour of monthly work on the YouTube channel. Check it out!
